This is wrong, in this case, light is travelling as a particle and it never slowed down. The reason it appears to have slowed down is because it has to go through all the particles in the object like a maze so takes more time. And it doesn’t accelerate as it goes out of the object, it’s just going through less particles ( the air )

I agree. It's illogical for an entity that is emitted to keep a constant speed for billions of years. Therefore, it is impossible to tell distances of objects that cannot be measured by parallax.

Aether isn't into space, it is space itself. It is very unfortunate that the scientific community is laughing at the word Aether. The word is always associated to the Victorian era, making it primitive and outdated. They just don't realize that they have replaced the exact same entity with names like vacuum energy, space-time, or dark matter. They simply cannot do without an all pervasive medium like the Aether. And yes, very massive objects will have a large concentration of denser Aether all around it, causing this apparent "lensing".
